Is Blogging a Good Idea?

I feel that blogging is a good idea in that it allows information to be disseminated on a scale larger than ever before, and it creates a forum for debate and the exchange of ideas. Most people acquire their news online from blog sources that have shared links from other sites. On the other hand it allows for people who spread disinformation to do so more effectively. This enables large polarized camps to form on contradictory issues.
